Membership rates explained

The Labour Party is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation and as such relies on membership fees and donations in order to maintain a solid financial base from which to campaign. To ensure this continues, our membership rates are linked to the rate of inflation and are subject to increases on 1 January every year.

Rates depend on category from £3 a year for members of the armed forces, students and those aged 14-19 to £2.21 a month for those aged 20-26, unwaged, part time, retired or affiliated Trade Union members to £4.38 a month standard rate.

Sexual Harassment Policy

The Labour Party takes complaints of sexual harassment very seriously and has set up an external support line operated by Rape Crisis UK, which can be used as the first step in our sexual harassment procedure. The support line is for anyone who has been affected by sexual harassment within the Labour Party, and provides emotional support and advice about how to make a complaint to the party. It is completely external to the Party and anything discussed will only be passed to the party with explicit consent from the caller. The support line is available Monday to Friday from 10am and 6pm on 020 8683 3311.

For more information about the support line and our sexual harassment procedure please visit: https://labour.org.uk/about/sexual-harassment-policy/
Safeguarding Code of Conduct

The Safeguarding Code of Conduct outlines the behaviour expected of staff, volunteers, members and elected representatives of the Labour Party, and staff, members and volunteers of other organisations who engage with children and adults at risk through the Labour Party and its activities. The underpinning principles of the code are that:
The welfare of children and adults at risk is paramount
It is the responsibility of all staff, volunteers, members and elected representatives to behave with integrity, maturity and good judgement
